In this blog post, we explore the gaming performance of a powerful PC setup featuring an RTX 5070 graphics card and an Intel Ultra 7 265KF processor. We tested how well these components work together in popular games at two different display resolutions: 1080p (which is Full High Definition or FHD) and 1440p (also known as Quad HD or QHD). Over the course of our tests, we ran a total of fourteen games to see how smoothly they play under these conditions.

How to Read This
The bold bar shows average FPS (frames per second) — longer means smoother gameplay. The lighter bar just below it shows "1% low" FPS, which captures the roughest moments rather than the average. A big gap between the two bars means a game can feel choppy even if the average looks good.

What These Results Mean
This performance test looks at how well the RTX 5070 and Intel Ultra 7 265KF handle gaming on two screen resolutions: 1080p and 1440p. FPS (frames per second — how many images your PC draws each second) is used to measure smoothness in games.
At a resolution of 1080p, the best performance was seen in Valorant with an average of 471 frames per second, while the lowest was found in Grand Theft Auto V at only 88 FPS. On average across all tested games, this setup achieved 196 FPS. Thirteen out of fifteen games ran very smoothly (100+ FPS), two were still quite playable with frame rates between 60 and 100, but none fell into the less smooth category under 60 FPS.
When moving up to a higher resolution of 1440p, Fortnite performed the best with an average of 315 frames per second. The lowest performance was in Cyberpunk 2077 at just 80 FPS on average. Overall, this setup managed 161 FPS across all games tested here. Ten out of thirteen titles ran very smoothly (100+ FPS), three were still quite playable with frame rates between 60 and 100, but again, none fell below the less smooth category under 60 FPS.
In this analysis, green indicates very smooth gameplay (over 100 FPS), yellow means it's still good to play but not as smooth (60-100 FPS), and red would indicate difficulty playing due to low frame rates (under 60 FPS).
So, if you're wondering whether your games will run well on this setup: If most of the titles you enjoy are in the top half or so of our tested list for both resolutions — especially if they aren't too graphically demanding — then yes, these components should provide very smooth and enjoyable gaming experiences.
