Why the lower PC requirement could matter

ViewX is taking a different approach by putting an artificial intelligence system-on-chip inside the display. ViewX says its software ecosystem supports more than 100 games, with compatibility covering Steam and other supported platforms. The company also describes native game depth support, where depth information from the game can be used instead of relying only on an estimate created from a flat image.

For creators, the screens could be useful when reviewing 3D scenes, product designs, visual effects, or spatial concepts without wearing a headset. The company also offers a reservation deposit of $10 USD (~$14 CAD, estimated), but that deposit is not the same as receiving a finished product.

These Canadian amounts are estimates using approximately 1.37 USD to 1 CAD; the actual exchange rate will fluctuate. The campaign page should be checked for the exact reward tier, shipping charges, delivery region, taxes, and whether accessories are included.

Kickstarter can provide access to unusual hardware before it reaches normal retail channels, but a campaign pledge is not the same as a standard store purchase.
