Starfinder Afterlight is an upcoming computer role playing game based on the Starfinder 2e tabletop universe. The game has just started its Kickstarter campaign and fans are already excited about exploring epic adventures in a colorful futuristic galaxy.
This is the first game from Epictellers Entertainment so the development team is learning as they go. While making a CRPG is a big challenge they already have the support of Paizo the publishers of Starfinder. The game's art style is bright and charming drawing inspiration from other successful games and the environments are detailed and lively with interesting character designs.
The studio is made up of about thirty people who combine both fresh talent and experienced game developers. They work fully online and have found it easy to attract passionate people to join their team. Neil Newbon a well known voice actor who worked on Baldur's Gate 3 is helping direct the voice acting and script which has brought even more quality to the project.
Epictellers is using Kickstarter to help expand the game's content like adding more character options and improving voice acting. However the team is careful not to grow too fast or promise more than they can deliver. They want to avoid the usual pitfalls of early access games where expanding goals can delay a game's release. Even if the Kickstarter is wildly successful the team is committed to sticking with their original plans and not adding features like multiplayer that would delay development.
One of the most interesting things about Starfinder Afterlight is the team's focus on player choice. The developers want to create a game that responds to the players' decisions in a meaningful way by listening to feedback and making sure the narrative offers many paths. They plan to listen to their community during development and adjust accordingly while keeping the project manageable.
Starfinder Afterlight aims for an early access launch in 2026. With strong art direction a dedicated team and genuine enthusiasm from fans this game stands out as a promising new adventure for CRPG lovers.
