NVIDIA Launches DRIVE AGX Thor Kit for the Future of Smart Cars
Partager
NVIDIA has introduced the DRIVE AGX Thor developer kit, giving automotive developers around the world a powerful platform to create the next generation of autonomous vehicles and smart mobility solutions. As cars and trucks become smarter with advanced artificial intelligence and better sensors, developers need reliable and efficient tools to keep up. The DRIVE AGX Thor kit is built for this purpose and is now available to preorder with shipments starting in September.
This kit features NVIDIA's latest Blackwell architecture, advanced Arm Neoverse CPUs, and the NVIDIA DriveOS 7 software. It is designed for complex tasks like processing visuals and language, as well as controlling vehicle actions. The kit supports all the sensors used in modern vehicles, such as cameras, radar, and lidar, and it connects easily to common vehicle networks. It also meets strict global standards for automotive safety and cybersecurity.
Many leading car makers including BYD, Volvo, Xiaomi, and Zeekr are already using DRIVE AGX Thor to build smarter vehicles. The platform is also popular with companies making autonomous trucks, like Aurora and Gatik, and is supported by big technology and parts suppliers such as Continental, Lenovo, and Magna. Sensor and software companies like AdaCore, OMNIVISION, and QNX support DRIVE AGX Thor too, expanding its ecosystem.
Safety is a key focus for NVIDIA's automotive solutions. DRIVE AGX Thor and DriveOS are part of NVIDIA Halos, a system that combines hardware, software, and the latest artificial intelligence to improve vehicle safety from cloud computing to the car itself. Halos covers a wide range of safety topics, from how the technology works, to how developers design and test it, and to how it is finally used in vehicles on the road.
If you want to start building your own smart vehicles or robotics, watch the unboxing video of DRIVE AGX Thor and join NVIDIA's developer program. For those interested in robotics, NVIDIA also offers the Jetson AGX Thor developer kit and Jetson T5000 modules, available to order now. These tools are helping engineers everywhere create the next wave of intelligent robots and vehicles.
