NVIDIA has introduced the Omniverse DSX Blueprint, a new guide to help companies design and build massive AI factories around the world. These AI factories are special data centers that work together to process huge amounts of information and train powerful artificial intelligence models.
The DSX Blueprint brings together partners in hardware, software, and energy from across the technology industry. Using NVIDIA’s Omniverse tools and the OpenUSD file format, teams can collaborate by creating realistic 3D digital twins. Digital twins are virtual versions of buildings and equipment that let engineers experiment or make improvements before anything is physically built. This approach helps reduce mistakes, lower risks, and speed up construction.
The system allows experts from different companies to add, test, and adjust designs for essential systems like power, cooling, and electrical equipment. They can simulate how everything will work in real-time and catch any issues early. Once the design is perfected virtually, companies like Bechtel and Vertiv can build ready-to-use modules in factories that get delivered and installed quickly. This modular approach saves time and makes it easy to expand an AI factory as demands grow.
DSX does more than help with design and construction. After the factory is up and running, it uses smart digital twins to monitor equipment, manage power usage, and keep everything working efficiently. Artificial intelligence agents learn from the digital twin, automatically adjusting power and cooling to save energy and reduce costs. This makes AI factories more flexible and environmentally friendly.
The DSX Blueprint stands on three main pillars:
1. DSX Flex balances electricity use with what is available on the power grid, helping companies use unused energy capacity.
2. DSX Boost improves performance by making equipment use less power for the same amount of work.
3. DSX Exchange acts like a digital bridge, connecting all systems in the factory—from power and cooling to safety monitoring—so they work together smoothly.
With this blueprint, NVIDIA helps companies build AI factories that range from small to giant, all following the same smart and sustainable standards. By bringing together leading experts and connecting every part of the process, the Omniverse DSX Blueprint is setting the stage for more scalable, efficient, and green AI innovation.
