Battlefield 6 has made a strong comeback, and Season 1 is set to bring even more action. This new update introduces fresh maps, game modes, vehicles, guns, attachments, and cosmetics, making the game feel new all over again.
Season 1 officially begins on Tuesday October 28 2025. All the new features will arrive in three stages called phases. That means you will get some new content right away and more throughout the season. Here is how the rollout looks:
1. Rogue Ops (October 28) – This first update adds the Blackwell Fields map, a new mode called Strikepoint, a Traverser Mark 2 vehicle, three new guns, and two attachments.
2. California Resistance (November 18) – This second phase brings the Eastwood map, the Sabotage mode for a limited time, new battle pickups, two more guns, and an attachment.
3. Winter Offensive (December 9) – The last phase features a special winter-themed event and map, plus a new melee weapon: the Ice Climbing Axe.
All the new items can be unlocked by playing or through the battle pass. The battle pass in Battlefield 6 works a little differently from other games. You can choose which reward path to unlock first. To unlock the final rewards, you need to complete the earlier paths. Some exclusive items are available if you buy the premium Battlefield Pro pass. If you bought the Phantom Edition of the game, you also get a free token that gives you the premium battle pass and jumps you ahead by 25 tiers.
Season 1 adds six new weapons, including the fan-favorite Mini Scout sniper rifle, a rapid-fire carbine, two sidearms, a shotgun, and the Ice Climbing Axe. Each phase brings its own set of weapons and attachments to try out.
You also get two new main maps. Blackwell Fields is set in the wide-open California badlands. It is perfect for large vehicle battles and offers classic Battlefield gameplay. Eastwood is a huge urban map set in a California suburb, filled with close quarters chaos and support for tanks and helicopters. To wrap up the season, you will get a festive winter-themed remake of the Empire State map.
To sum up, Battlefield 6 Season 1 is bringing lots of new reasons to jump back in, including maps, weapons, game modes, and events spread out over three months. Whether you love vehicle combat or close-up action, there is something for everyone in this big update.
