South Korea Partners with NVIDIA to Boost Artificial Intelligence Revolution

South Korea is making a major leap into artificial intelligence with a new partnership led by NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang. At the APEC Summit, Huang announced that South Korea will power its AI future using more than two hundred fifty thousand NVIDIA GPUs. This big investment will help the country build not only powerful AI computer systems but also the community and support needed for long term growth.

Many of Korea's leading companies and government agencies are joining forces in this project. Partners include the Ministry of Science and ICT, Samsung, SK Group, Hyundai Motor Group, NAVER, LG and more. The goal is to create massive cloud data centers and AI-powered factories that can support industries like manufacturing, transportation, telecommunications and robotics.

To celebrate this move and the twenty fifth anniversary of GeForce in Korea, NVIDIA hosted a festival in Seoul. Attendees explored new technology and unreleased video games powered by NVIDIA's latest features. The festival also included gaming matches, special guests and performances by Korean music and sports stars.

A key part of this effort is building a new type of infrastructure across the entire country. Government and private companies are installing tens of thousands of powerful NVIDIA chips. For example, Samsung is using advanced software to design digital copies of factories and push robotics research forward. SK Group is constructing an AI cloud with up to sixty thousand GPUs to help local businesses develop robotics and virtual simulations. Hyundai Motor Group is building a specialized AI factory for smarter car manufacturing and self-driving technology. NAVER plans to use AI to create models for shipbuilding, security and new services for Korean citizens.

The Korean government is also funding basic AI research in partnership with leading companies and universities. This includes creating Korean language models and supporting healthcare, physics and quantum computing research with the help of NVIDIA tools.

Next generation mobile networks are also part of the plan. NVIDIA and companies like Samsung and SK Telecom are developing AI-powered networks to make devices faster and more efficient while saving energy. This advancement makes it easier to adopt robotics everywhere.

To grow future talent and new companies, NVIDIA has launched new startup programs and training centers in South Korea. These programs give startups access to powerful computing equipment and expert support. Students and professionals can join new training courses to prepare for careers in artificial intelligence.

South Korea's AI initiative is more than just adding new computers. It is about transforming the industries of the nation and preparing for the future. From smart factories to breakthroughs in science and healthcare, this partnership sets a new standard for artificial intelligence around the world.
