Riot's League of Legends Fighting Game 2XKO Will Soon Be Playable in Beta

Riot's League of Legends Fighting Game 2XKO Will Soon Be Playable in Beta

Six years ago, Riot Games shared that it was making a fighting game set in the world of League of Legends. Back then, it was called Project L. After a long wait and few updates, fans finally have exciting news to celebrate. The game now has a new name, 2XKO, and we will get a chance to play it soon.

In a recent video, Riot confirmed that 2XKO is real and moving closer to release. The company showed a short preview where fans got to see the new character called Vi in action. Tom Cannon, the executive producer, explained that a closed beta will start for PC players on September 9.

The closed beta is an early version of the game. Riot will use it to fix technical issues and see how the servers handle many players. If you have played during previous alpha tests, you will get an invite automatically. Riot will also invite more new players in different waves over time.

If you are attending EVO 2025, a large fighting game event in Las Vegas, you will be able to play 2XKO at Riot's booth from August 1 to 3. This is a great chance to try the game early and experience what Riot has been working on.

Although the official site once said the game would launch in 2025, that information has recently been removed. Because there have been some recent delays, there is a chance we may need to wait longer for the complete release.

You can sign up to join the closed beta by visiting the 2XKO website.
