The co-op climbing game Peak is well known for players finding creative ways to use the environment and items. The developers have decided to embrace this by making one of the most popular and exploited items, the Scout Cannon, even better with the newest update.
The Scout Cannon can now launch zombies. This helps anyone having trouble in the Roots biome. In addition, the item is now lighter, which means you will not lose as much stamina when carrying it. Smaller improvements also include making it easier to jump out of the cannon and reducing the time your character goes limp after using it. These changes will probably make speedruns even faster and more exciting.
The update also fixes an issue that has been in the game since it first launched. Gamepad sensitivity was tied to your frame rate, which could make looking around feel strange. This has now been fixed, but you may need to adjust your look sensitivity if you use a gamepad.
Other fixes include removing visual problems with the Book of Bones, making the Checkpoint Flag respawn players slightly above the ground instead of inside it, and making sure zombie footsteps sound correct. If you have had trouble with glitches or items since the Roots update, most of them have likely been fixed in this patch.
