NVIDIA has announced it will provide major funding to help students in kindergarten through twelfth grade learn about artificial intelligence. This announcement took place at a White House event focused on building strong partnerships to improve AI education in the United States.
Part of NVIDIA’s effort includes working with popular learning platforms Study Fetch and CK 12. Together, they will adapt NVIDIA’s Deep Learning Institute lessons and NVIDIA Academy resources to make them easy to use in classrooms across the country. This partnership means teachers and students will have new tools and lessons to explore AI, helping them build important skills for future jobs.
NVIDIA is committing twenty five million dollars to support these programs, with a goal to reach one million students in three years. In the first year, the focus will be on updating class materials, training teachers, connecting with schools, and getting the whole education community involved.
This initiative lines up with the White House’s new plan for advancing AI education among America’s youth. NVIDIA has also joined the White House’s pledge to teach more students about AI, offer certificates in AI skills, and help teachers become confident with these new subjects.
By supporting both students and teachers, NVIDIA and its partners hope to make sure America leads the way in artificial intelligence. Their efforts are backed by larger national plans to encourage technology growth, support scientific research, and prepare the next generation for jobs in an AI powered world.
