NVIDIA DLSS 4 and Ray Tracing Transform Gaming at Gamescom 2025

At Gamescom 2025 NVIDIA announced that more than 175 games now support DLSS 4 technology. DLSS 4 uses artificial intelligence to improve how games look and perform. Popular upcoming games like Borderlands 4 Hell Is Us and Fate Trigger will use this technology.

NVIDIA is also bringing advanced graphics features such as path tracing to Resident Evil Requiem and Directive 8020 and ray tracing to hits like Phantom Blade Zero PRAGMATA and CINDER CITY. These features make graphics more realistic and help players feel more immersed in their games.

DLSS 4 makes games run much faster by using AI to create extra frames for smoother gameplay. Some games can run up to eight times faster using this technology. Other features available in DLSS 4 games include Super Resolution Ray Reconstruction and NVIDIA Reflex to deliver both better visuals and more responsive controls.

Many new games including Directive 8020 Resident Evil Requiem Black State CINDER CITY Cronos The New Dawn Dying Light The Beast Honeycomb The World Beyond Lost Soul Aside The Outer Worlds 2 Phantom Blade Zero and PRAGMATA will launch with these technologies. In addition Borderlands 4 and Fate Trigger will use Multi Frame Generation from DLSS 4 for even better performance. Indiana Jones and the Great Circle will soon get RTX Hair which adds detailed realistic hair to characters. Some of these games will also be available through NVIDIA’s GeForce NOW cloud gaming service.

The NVIDIA app continues to help gamers by making it easier to update drivers and manage settings. New features include global DLSS overrides so you can set DLSS options for all games at once. Project G-Assist now works faster and uses less memory allowing you to control your PC with voice or text commands. Classic 3D graphics settings have also been added to enhance older games.

NVIDIA ACE is another recent innovation that uses AI for more natural conversations with game characters. For example The Oversight Bureau lets players talk to in game characters using their own voice adding a new level of immersion.

NVIDIA RTX Remix is a platform for the gaming community to update classic games with modern graphics. Thanks to creative modders games including Call Of Duty 4 Modern Warfare Knights Of The Old Republic Doom 3 Half Life Black Mesa and Bioshock can now be refreshed with new visuals. At Gamescom NVIDIA introduced a particle system for RTX Remix which allows modders to add dynamic and realistically lit effects to older titles.

To celebrate the launch of Borderlands 4 NVIDIA is offering a special bundle. When you buy a GeForce RTX 50 Series graphics card or laptop from a participating store you will get a copy of Borderlands 4 and extra game content.

NVIDIA continues to push the boundaries of gaming technology by working closely with game developers and providing tools for both gamers and creators.
