Konami, a famous Japanese game developer, is making a strong comeback with some exciting releases. After the positive response to Silent Hill f and a beautiful remake of Metal Gear Solid Delta Snake Eater, Konami has announced a brand new multiplayer mode for Metal Gear Solid Delta called Fox Hunt. This is the first new multiplayer experience for the Metal Gear series since 2018.
Fox Hunt launches on October 30 and adds fresh ways to play with your friends or other players online. In Fox Hunt, you play as a candidate for the legendary FOX unit, competing in groups of up to twelve players. There are two main game types: Survival Capture and Survival Intrude.
In Survival Capture, you and others try to find and catch special objects called Kerotan frogs. As the match goes on, the number of frogs goes down, which makes everyone come closer together and increases the competition.
Survival Intrude is a bit different. Here, you need to defend a certain area while the playable zone keeps shrinking over time. This brings players together for intense and exciting moments.
Both modes introduce special tools and tricks inspired by the Metal Gear universe. For example, everyone starts with a suit called AT CAMO. This special outfit lets you blend in with your surroundings by changing its appearance. It is great for sneaking around and staying hidden. You can even choose how you want your camouflage to look, like turning into a patch of grass near a rock. The suit is a bit bigger than usual, so moving is easier to notice.
Another new feature is called Naked Sense. This helps you sense when other players or items are nearby, giving you a general idea of where they are. It is not exact, but it adds a fun layer of strategy.
Even though Fox Hunt only offers two game modes at launch, it makes great use of Metal Gear Solid Delta's famous stealth and combat gameplay. Many fans are excited to see if the new features will bring more players back to the game when it launches on October 30.
