Getting Ready to Unlock Tigger
If you are exploring the Wishblossom Ranch DLC in Disney Dreamlight Valley and want Tigger in your valley, there are a few things you need to set up first. He is actually the third character you will unlock in this DLC, so he does not show up right away.
Before you can properly start his questline, make sure you have done the following:
- Unlocked both Maximus and Khan
- Brought Cruella and Snow White to live in your valley
- Gained access to the Pixie Acres biome
Once you head into Pixie Acres, you will meet Tigger fairly quickly. This might feel like the start of his friendship quest, but it is not quite there yet. To actually work toward unlocking him, you must first clear two quests in Pixie Acres:
- Bounce Up, Never Down
- Balloon Family
Luckily, these intro quests are simple and will ease you into the area. After you complete them, you are finally ready for the main storyline to bring Tigger home.
Fun Fun Fun quest and the Pixie Flats carnival
The real unlock journey starts with the Fun Fun Fun quest. Follow Tigger to an area called Pixie Flats, which is blocked off by two big STOP statues. You cannot walk past them yet, and your normal Royal Pickaxe is not strong enough to clear the barricade.
When you talk to Tigger he explains that you usually need Tinkerbell to upgrade the pickaxe with one of her potions. Tigger really does not want you to leave though, so he offers to whip up his own Tigger potion if you bring him a few ingredients from around Pixie Acres.
Here is what you need to collect:
- 12 Grassy Ore
- 4 Pixie Dust
- 4 Honey Coral
- 4 Fairy Sprinkles
All of these items are found somewhere in Pixie Acres, so explore and gather until you have the full list. Once you bring everything back, Tigger mixes his potion and applies it to your Royal Pickaxe. With the upgraded tool, you can finally smash the STOP barricade and step into Pixie Flats.
Inside, you will find a small carnival that was created by Tigger’s wish. In the center of the main stand there is a crystal key you need. Of course, there is a catch. Tigger tells you that you can only claim the key by using tickets that you earn from his three carnival minigames.
These three side quests are:
- Test Your Strength
- Catch the Lucky Lily Pad
- Solve the Puzzle
Finish them all to gather enough tickets to unlock the crystal key and move Tigger closer to joining your valley.
Carnival minigames and welcoming Tigger home
The first game is Test Your Strength, located on the right side of the carnival stand. When you go there, you will notice that the game is missing its bell, so you cannot play yet. Talk to Tigger and he hints that the bell is hidden near some puffy white dandelions.
Head toward the broken glass sphere near the game entrance. You will spot the bell on the ground in front of the orange sign. Pick it up, return to the Strength Flower contraption and interact with it to attach the bell. Then hit the flower with your Royal Pickaxe to complete the game and earn your tickets from the carnival stand.
The second game is Catch the Lucky Lily Pad on the left side of the stand. Before you start fishing, read the clue on the sign next to the pond. It tells you your lucky number for this puzzle. In one example, the lucky number was three.
Walk next to the water and six lily pads will appear. Your goal is to choose the pad that matches the clue. For a lucky number of three, the right choice is the one that sits third from either side, which is the middle pad. Reel in the correct lily pad and then collect your next batch of tickets from the stand next to Tigger.
The last and trickiest game is Solve the Puzzle, found up a small ramp behind the carnival stand. The puzzle is missing one tile, so you need to grab it first. It is tucked just behind the puzzle fence, so walk around the back and pick it up.
Tigger then asks you to repair the tile using materials from Pixie Acres. You need:
- 8 Hardwood
- 2 Honeycomb Stone
- 10 Clay
Take these to a crafting bench, fix the puzzle tile, and return to place it in the empty spot. Now use your Royal Shovel to rotate and swap tiles until the picture is correct. If you want the solution without guessing, every tile should have a blue background and Tigger’s nose in the center should be light pink. Once the image is complete, you get your final stash of tickets.
With all three minigames finished, head to the middle of the carnival stand and trade in your tickets for the crystal key. Talk to Tigger afterward and he will feel a bit down that this adventure is ending. Reassure him that you are not going anywhere and he will switch to excitement and ask you to build him a home.
You can place Tigger’s house plans anywhere in the Wishblossom Mountains region, including Pixie Acres if you like to keep things themed. After placing the sign, pay 10,000 Star Coins to finish construction. This triggers the classic Welcome Tigger screen and officially brings him to your valley.
To wrap up the Fun Fun Fun quest, meet Tigger by the fountain at the entrance of Wishblossom Ranch. Talk to him one more time and you are done. From here, you can hang out with Tigger, level up your friendship, and enjoy having one of the most energetic residents bouncing around your Disney Dreamlight Valley.
