How to Unlock Snow White in Dreamlight Valley’s Wishblossom Ranch DLC

Getting Started: Your First Trip to Wishblossom Ranch

In the Wishblossom Ranch DLC for Disney Dreamlight Valley, Snow White is the very first character you meet and the key to getting your ranch up and running. When you arrive at the snowy ranch area, you will find her waiting for you.

Hand over your train ticket to Snow White and you will start a simple quest called A Wishful Invitation. This first quest is basically your tutorial for the ranch and leads directly to getting your very first horse.

Completing A Wishful Invitation is quick and easy. Once you finish it and have your new horse, talk to Snow White again. This automatically unlocks the main story quest you really care about here: Tales of a Broken Heart. This is the one that lets you bring Snow White in as a full villager and place her house on the ranch.

If you are just starting out in the DLC, think of A Wishful Invitation as your warm up and Tales of a Broken Heart as the real main quest for Snow White and the ranch.

Tales of a Broken Heart: Inside the Wishbloom Heart Cave

After you speak with Snow White, she will ask you to follow her to a special location called the Wishbloom Heart cave. This is where the core of the quest takes place and where you start to see what is really wrong with the ranch.

At the entrance to the cave, you will find it blocked by glowing red crystals. It looks dramatic, but you do not need any fancy Dreamlight or Storybook Magic to get inside. Instead, this is where your new horse comes in.

  • Summon your horse.
  • Hop onto its back.
  • Press the interact button to charge through and shatter the red crystals.

Once the entrance is clear, head inside. In the center of the cave you will see a giant Wishblossom Flower. When you approach it, the flower explains that red crystals have wrapped around its roots and are draining its power.

Your next task is to destroy the red crystals attached to the flower. Again, your horse is your main tool here.

  • Call your horse and mount up.
  • Gallop through the three red crystals around the roots of the Wishblossom.
  • When all three are gone, interact with the flower again.

The Wishblossom now opens fully and releases Tinkerbell, who flies out in a burst of light. Snow White introduces you to her and explains that Wishblossom Ranch is in serious trouble. The place is unstable and even the cave roof is in danger of collapsing.

Tinkerbell thinks she can use pixie dust to hold up the roof for a while. The problem is that she does not have enough dust yet, so she sends you on the next part of the quest: gathering more pixie dust from around the cave.

Look for dead Wishblossoms scattered inside the cave. They look like withered versions of the main flower. To collect what Tinkerbell needs, you must destroy ten of these dead flowers by charging through them on your horse.

  • Ride through ten dead Wishblossoms to break them.
  • Collect the pixie dust they release.
  • Bring all the dust back to Tinkerbell.

Once you hand over the pixie dust, Tinkerbell uses it to temporarily stabilize the cave roof. She promises to investigate what is really causing all the chaos at the ranch, while you head back to the surface to meet Snow White again.

Restoring the Ranch and Unlocking Snow White as a Villager

Back at Wishblossom Ranch, talk to Snow White. She is grateful for your help in saving the cave and the Wishblossom Heart. As a thank you, she gives you a new tool: the Horse Brush, and shows you how to use it to bond with your horse.

Brush your horse for the first time and you will trigger a cutscene. The sun breaks through the clouds and the heavy snow around Wishblossom Ranch begins to melt away. It is a clear sign that your connection with your horse is helping heal the area.

After the cutscene, speak to Snow White again. She explains that the bond you are building with your horse is powerful enough to help restore the entire ranch to its former glory. She also offers to stay and help look after the place long term.

There is one problem. Her old cottage was destroyed, and she needs a new home. As usual in Dreamlight Valley, you step in to help by offering to build her a new house.

Right on cue, Scrooge McDuck appears in the valley with a solution. Talk to him and he will hand over the construction plans for Snow Whites new cottage. You can place the house anywhere you like around the ranch area, so choose a nice spot that fits the snowy fairy tale vibe.

  • Place Snow Whites cottage on the ranch map.
  • Interact with the construction sign in front of it.
  • Pay 2500 Star Coins to finish the build.

Once you pay for the cottage, you will see a welcome Snow White cutscene that officially brings her to your ranch. There is one last step though. Talk to her one final time to fully complete Tales of a Broken Heart.

After that conversation, Snow White is unlocked as a villager for Dreamlight Valley. She will not appear in your main valley until you move her house from the ranch area into your regular valley map, but from this point on she is fully available as a character you can interact with, befriend, and build storylines with.

If you follow these steps, Tales of a Broken Heart turns into a fun, beginner friendly quest that teaches you how to use your horse, introduces you to Tinkerbell, and restores both Snow White and Wishblossom Ranch to their storybook charm.
