Meet Cruella in Wishblossom Ranch
If you are diving into the Wishblossom Ranch DLC in Disney Dreamlight Valley and want Cruella De Vil causing drama in your village, you are in the right place. Unlocking her is not super complicated, but it does send you on a fun little adventure featuring skunks, Snow White, and a pretty intense fortress raid.
Before you can even start Cruella’s main quest, there are a few things you need to have done in your valley.
- Unlock Maximus
- Gain access to Glamour Gulch in Wishblossom Valley
- Complete the quests The Decay of Fashion and The De Vil Crash
Once all of that is done, the game automatically unlocks a new story quest called The Skunk Rebellion. Finishing this quest is the key to bringing Cruella to your main valley as a full time villager.
The Skunk Rebellion quest step by step
The Skunk Rebellion kicks off with Cruella handing you the key to her car. This is your first clue that you are about to do more running around than she is.
Use the key to open the trunk of her car and you will find a Seed Samples bag. Grab that and take it straight back to Cruella. After inspecting the bag, she sends you off to talk to Snow White about the skunks that are causing trouble in Glamour Gulch.
Snow White fills you in on the drama. Cruella has barking greyhound statues all over her fortress, and the constant noise is driving the skunks wild. The skunks are fed up and are ready to rebel against her. Their leader is a skunk called Professor Mouffette, and winning him over is your next goal.
Snow White suggests that you build a special house for the skunks to prove you are on their side. You will need to collect specific materials from around Glamour Gulch to craft it.
- 10 Beady Soil
- 5 Black Silk Flowers
- 5 Red Silk Flowers
- 2 Jasper
All of these can be found within Glamour Gulch, so you can farm them while you explore. Once you have everything, head to a crafting bench and create the Elegant Skunk House.
Place the skunk house anywhere in Glamour Gulch. A good spot is near the cave where the skunks naturally gather on the eastern edge of the biome. With their new home set up, it is time to meet the brains behind the rebellion.
Go into the cave and you will find Professor Mouffette, with Snow White joining you for the meeting. Mouffette explains that the skunks are ready to storm Cruella’s fortress, but they need your help to pull it off safely.
After the conversation, follow Snow White to the entrance of Cruella’s fortress. She gives you a lever that will let you lower the drawbridge. Look to the wall on the right side of the bridge, interact with it, and slot the lever into place. The drawbridge comes down and you can finally head into the fortress.
Inside, things turn into a small stealth challenge. The room has mannequins in each corner that rotate and project yellow circles on the floor. These circles are basically their alert zones. You need to stay out of those yellow areas as you move around the room.
Your main objective is to deactivate the barking greyhound statues that have been tormenting the skunks. There are three statues to shut down.
- One statue on the left side of the room
- One statue on the right side
- One statue straight ahead from where you enter
Carefully weave around the yellow detection circles, reach each statue, and interact with it to deactivate it. Once you turn off the final statue, a cutscene kicks in. The skunks charge into the fortress and back you up just in time for Cruella to show up and react exactly as dramatically as you would expect.
Building Cruella’s mansion and finishing the quest
After the chaos, Cruella tells you that the crystal key you want is not actually on her. Naturally, she will not hand it over until you do something for her. Her demand this time is much more on brand. She wants her own mansion in Glamour Gulch.
You will see house plans appear in the area. Place the construction sign wherever you like in Glamour Gulch. Once you have picked a spot, interact with the sign to start building Cruella’s home. To finish construction you need to spend 15000 Star Coins.
After you pay up, construction completes and the classic Welcome Cruella cutscene plays, officially adding her as a villager. She can now move around the rest of your valley instead of being stuck in just one area.
There is one last step. Talk to Cruella again after her house is built. This final conversation wraps up The Skunk Rebellion quest and she finally hands over the crystal key.
From there, Cruella is fully unlocked as a resident of Disney Dreamlight Valley. You get a memorable quest line featuring Snow White and an army of rebellious skunks, plus a stylish villain wandering your village and stirring up trouble. If you enjoy the more theatrical side of Dreamlight Valley’s characters, Cruella’s storyline is absolutely worth the effort.
