How to Find Food Fast in Grounded 2: Top Early Game Snacks

In Grounded 2 your character has been shrunk down to the size of an insect but your hunger stays the same. As you explore the backyard you will need to find food quickly to avoid going hungry and losing stamina. Staying fed is important because low hunger will eventually lead to your character losing stamina and even dying which can make surviving much harder.

At the start of the game the easiest food to find comes from bugs and mushrooms. Look for aphids weevils and orb spiders. Taking down these bugs and cooking their meat at a roasting spit gives you a decent meal. You need to eat two pieces of meat to fill your hunger bar. You will find mushrooms all over the yard especially near logs and trees. These small mushrooms can be eaten raw and are very useful early in the game but you will need several to feel full.

To keep your food fresh pay attention to the green circle in the corner of each edible item. This shows how long you have until it spoils. Be sure to eat your food before it becomes rotten. If you forget and it goes bad you can add old food to your garden plot as fertilizer instead.

After finishing the first few missions you can unlock more recipes by purchasing the Cooking 101 bundle at any Ranger Outpost Science Shop. This costs 1000 Raw Science points. Cooking meals with different ingredients gives more benefits and can help you survive longer.

Remember to eat regularly and keep an eye on your stamina. Many actions in the game like running fighting and blocking use stamina. Staying full makes exploring Grounded 2 safer and a lot more fun.
