Battlefield 6 Ultra System Requirements Explained for Beginners

Battlefield 6 is looking to be a serious contender with the Call of Duty series this year. The latest news has revealed the full Ultra system requirements and if you want the game to look its absolute best you will need a powerful PC setup.

First let us break down what "Ultra" means. At Ultra settings you are aiming for 4K resolution at 60 frames per second or 1440p resolution at 144 frames per second. This will give you the sharpest graphics and the smoothest gameplay possible. To achieve this you will need some of today's top computer parts.

For the graphics card you will need either an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4080 or an AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX. Both of these have at least 16 GB of video memory. On the memory side 32 GB of RAM is recommended at a high speed of 4800 MHz. This uses DDR5 RAM which is the newest type.

When it comes to the processor you will want an Intel Core i9 12900K or an AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D. These are high end CPUs designed for demanding games.

The storage recommended is a 90 GB solid state drive. If you are only aiming for the minimum requirements though a 55 GB hard disk drive is enough. The minimum graphics card is an Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 or AMD Radeon RX 5600 XT and the minimum CPU is an Intel Core i5 8400 or AMD Ryzen 5 2600 with 16 GB of RAM. That means even a budget gaming PC from a few years ago can run the game at low settings.

Another important part is TPM 2.0 and secure boot both need to be enabled on your computer. This is a security requirement for the game and is also becoming more common in other new games.

If you are aiming for high frame rates or want to play at 1440p you may be able to get by with a graphics card like the RTX 3060 Ti or AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT and a slightly older processor like an Intel Core i7 10700 or AMD Ryzen 7 3700X along with 16 GB of RAM at 3200 MHz.

Battlefield 6 is scheduled to launch on October 10. There are no more betas planned so you will not be able to test your setup before release. If you cannot meet the Ultra requirements do not worry. The game should still run well on less powerful hardware if you use lower settings. In the meantime Battlefield 5 is still a good option to play and enjoy until launch day.
