Asus ROG G1000: A Holographic Monster of a Gaming PC

Asus ROG G1000: A Holographic Monster of a Gaming PC

A New Kind of Prebuilt Gaming PC

Most prebuilt gaming PCs look pretty similar. You usually get a standard case, some basic RGB fans, and hardware that does the job but does not exactly turn heads. Asus is trying something very different with the new ROG G1000, a huge prebuilt rig that is all about spectacle as well as power.

The standout feature is the AniMe Holo system. Instead of regular RGB fans, the ROG G1000 comes with three massive holographic style fans that are built to impress. These are not just for airflow. They are designed to create eye catching visual effects right on the front and side of the case.

Asus claims this is the world’s first holographic fan system in a prebuilt gaming PC, and the G1000 definitely looks like it is aiming to be a showpiece system for your setup.

Holographic Fans and Bold Case Design

The AniMe Holo system uses a huge 380 millimeter fan packed with 720 LEDs and two 215 millimeter fans with 404 LEDs each. Instead of blasting air straight through the front of the case, these fans spin fast enough that the blades visually disappear. The LEDs are then used to create patterns, animations, and other effects that look almost like holograms.

You can control these effects using a button on the top of the PC or through Asus Armoury Crate software. That means you can tweak animations, patterns, and styles to match the rest of your setup or just to show off during a game night.

Because the fans are so large and use a quad blade design, noise and vibration could have been a real problem. Asus says it has handled this by mounting them in self contained and isolated panels. The hinged side panel that houses part of the system looks very thick, which should help with damping vibration and noise.

The trade off is size. The ROG G1000 is enormous. It stands around 62 centimeters tall, a little over 58 centimeters deep, and 29 centimeters wide. That makes it even larger than big cases like the Fractal Design North XL. This is firmly in the full tower category and will dominate most desks or floor spaces.

The large dimensions are not just for the holographic fans. At the top of the case, Asus has created what it calls the ROG Thermal Atrium. This is essentially a separate chamber for cooling hardware. Inside it you will find a 420 millimeter all in one liquid cooler, with side ventilation bringing air in and out of the case.

It is worth noting that the front holographic panel is solid, so air intake is mainly from the sides and a smaller opening underneath. From a pure airflow and fluid dynamics perspective this is not the most conventional design. With high end components inside, it will be interesting to see how temperatures and noise levels hold up under long gaming sessions.

High End Hardware for Serious Gaming

Looks are only part of the story. The Asus ROG G1000 is also packed with top tier PC hardware designed for demanding gamers and creators.

In its flagship configuration, the GM1000TY XS999 model includes:

  • AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D processor, a high core count CPU with extra cache for gaming performance
  • ROG Astral GeForce RTX 5090 graphics card, Nvidia’s next generation flagship GPU for high resolution, high refresh gaming and heavy ray tracing
  • 64 GB of DDR5 memory for smooth multitasking, streaming, and content creation
  • 2 TB SSD storage for fast game load times and room for a large game library

Asus also plans multiple GPU options depending on your budget and performance needs. Configurations will include:

  • ROG Astral RTX 5080
  • ROG Strix RTX 5070 Ti
  • Radeon RX 9070 XT

There are no detailed CPU options listed yet, but every one of those GPU choices is geared toward modern PC gaming at high settings. Combined with the large AIO cooler and the dedicated cooling chamber, the G1000 is clearly built to push high frame rates in current and upcoming titles.

The downside of this much power is heat and likely noise. A system with a Ryzen 9 9950X3D and an RTX 5090 is going to generate a lot of thermal energy that needs to be moved out of the case. With air intake mostly coming from the sides, cooling fans and the graphics card may need to work harder under load, which could make the G1000 louder when gaming or rendering. On the plus side, you will have plenty of holographic eye candy to look at while the fans ramp up.

Pricing, Availability, and What It Means for PC Builders

Asus has not announced official pricing yet, but it is safe to assume the top tier ROG G1000 builds will cost many thousands of dollars. This is a halo product aimed at enthusiasts who want both high performance and a very distinctive PC that stands out visually.

However the most interesting impact of the ROG G1000 might be what it does for the wider PC hardware market. Whenever a big brand introduces a flashy new design idea, case and cooling manufacturers often follow with their own versions. Asus own holographic fans could inspire third party cases and fan kits that bring similar effects to custom builds at cheaper prices.

Asus itself hints that you may not need to buy the full G1000 system just to get the holographic look. It expects that within a few months we will start to see new PC cases featuring holo style fans. So if you already have a solid gaming rig and only want the AniMe Holo aesthetic, waiting for standalone cases or fan kits could make more sense than buying a massive prebuilt tower.

The ROG G1000 is being showcased around events like CES 2026, where companies such as Nvidia, AMD, Intel, and others reveal their latest hardware. It fits perfectly into that environment: an over the top gaming PC that combines cutting edge components with showpiece level design.

For gamers and PC enthusiasts, the Asus ROG G1000 is a glimpse of where high end prebuilts are headed. Bigger cases, more extreme cooling setups, and increasingly elaborate lighting systems are becoming part of the package. If you want a rig that looks like it came straight off a CES show floor and you have the budget and space, this holographic beast could be right up your alley.
