Assassin's Creed Shadows Summer Updates: New Features and What to Expect
Share
Assassin's Creed Shadows is getting some exciting updates this summer. If you have finished the main story and are hungry for more adventures, there is great news. Ubisoft is releasing a New Game Plus mode on July 29. This lets players begin the story again with all their progress and gear from the first playthrough. There will also be an increase in the maximum character level from 60 to 80. Players can look forward to new upgrades for hideout buildings and a higher level for the forge where you upgrade your gear.
One of the most anticipated features coming soon is the ability to change the time of day in the game. This is important because the lighting can affect how you sneak around and hide from enemies. For example, traveling at night offers more shadows to hide in and makes stealth easier. Many fans wondered why this feature was not included at launch, but it is finally on the way as part of the September updates.
Other cool changes coming in September include unfogging entire region maps when you complete all the viewpoints, which will help completionists. Cutscenes will soon be able to play at higher frame rates for smoother visuals.
The biggest update on the horizon is the first game expansion called Claws of Awaji, which arrives on September 16. This new DLC will have a fresh story, new characters, new gear, and a new region to explore in Japan. To play this expansion, you need to finish the main story first. Those who preordered the game will get this DLC for free.
Overall, Assassin's Creed Shadows is about to get even bigger with lots of new features to improve gameplay and keep players exploring for months to come.
